What a great weekend DNOW 2013 was! Even now as I think back to all of the wonderful things that occurred in that short few days, it’s hard to put into words just how incredible it really was. From start to finish, the Spirit was at work softening hearts, building community, teaching truth about the will and character of God, convicting hearts of sin, and so much more. Hopefully through these pictures and videos you can get a sense of all that God was doing throughout the weekend. Weekend Recap Video Wednesday Night Kickoff Friday...

The following blog entry has been re-blogged from Jon Bloom, President of Desiring God. Read more from Jon Bloom on the Desiring God blog. Some years back a good friend shared with me seven Scripture texts that he and his wife prayed for their two daughters from the time they were infants. The girls are now grown. And it’s beautiful to see how God has (and still is) answering the faithful, specific prayers of faith-filled parents in the lives of these young, godly women. I have frequently used these prayers when praying for my children...

The following blog entry has been re-blogged from Pastor Paul Trip. Read more of Paul Trip’s posts over on his blog. IDENTITY IN ACCEPTANCE God created us to be social beings. His plan, from day one, was for us to live in meaningful community with one another. Our relationships are so important to God that He positioned the command for us to love one another as second only to the call to love Him (Matthew 22:37-39). Those relationships must be a very high priority as we make our daily decisions. Yet, in our sin, many of us look to other...

For the past few years at our annual E4 Christmas Party, we’ve challenged the idea of a typical American Christmas. Did you know that Americans spend on average $450 billion on Christmas every year? That number is simply astounding. At E4, we’re encouraging our students to reevaluate how they are spending their energy, time, and money on at Christmas-time. Rather than buying more and more stuff, we’re challenging our students to think outside of themselves and consider giving to to those that are less fortunate. Last year,...

We’ve had a wonderful last day of camp! We wish you all could have been here with us to enjoy David Platt and of course, Orange Beach. Of all the church camps Joel and I have been to, I think this one has been my favorite. Our adult leaders have been AHHH—MAZING! Our students have acted so well the hotel staff has gone out of their way to tell us they have never had a church group behave as well as ours! (yay!) AND!!! Two more students received salvation tonight! We couldn’t have written a sweeter ending to our...

Camp Day 3 Today’s schedule was alot like yesterday, minus a visit from Victor. So I hope you don’t mind today’s post will be more of a pictorial review; although I did comment on a couple of the photos. I also wanted to make sure you all knew I have had quite a bit of help from Cindy Jimenez and Chris Eisenbach getting the posts together for you. Cindy has helped take alot of the pics and Chris Eisenbach is so tech savvy. Joel and I would really be at a loss without these two for many more reasons than stated...

Day 2 We had an EXCELLENT Saturday in Orange Beach! David Platt has been so faithful to preach the Word of God to our students. It has really been a blessing for all of us to sit under his teaching. Some photos of our morning celebration: After our morning session, we headed to the beach to support some of our students who signed up for the volleyball tournament. Some of us enjoyed some time at the pool, too! May I present to you the StudentLife @ the Beach...
